DataKitchen is leading the DataOps movement to incorporate Agile Software Development, DevOps, and manufacturing-based statistical process control into analytics and data management. DataKitchen is for information technology (IT), data warehousing, data science and analytic teams who know that in order to meet the needs of their business, data analytics has to be ten times more nimble and robust than it is today.

Data Engineer

Job description

Excellent opportunity for a Data Engineer or Customer Success professional to be part of an exciting, growing company delivering a cloud based DataOps Solution! DataKitchen provides the world's first DataOps platform for data-driven enterprises, enabling them to support data analytics that can be quickly and robustly adapted to meet evolving requirements. DataKitchen is leading the DataOps movement to incorporate Agile Software Development, DevOps, and manufacturing based statistical process control into analytics and data Management. You should have solid SQL development experience along with the ability to interface with customers (though there will be no significant travel required). This position requires excellent technical skills, good business communication skills, excellent attention to detail and follow-up, and the ability to self-manage. You will get great exposure as you work directly with our customers to tackle tough business challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of SQL including creation and maintenance of tables, views, indexes, and stored procedures.
  • Some Python coding experience and experience building Docker containers is a plus.
  • AWS, Amazon Redshift or Hadoop/Spark experience is a plus.
  • Flexibility and self-motivation - with a problem solver's attitude.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently yet collaborates cross-functionally in a team environment.
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative work style.
  • Excellent customer facing and communication skills. The candidate must have the ability to discuss technical requirements and give clear, concise, business level descriptions of technical details.
  • Pharmaceutical data experience is preferred, but not required.

UI Focused Full Stack Software Engineer

As a member of the DataKitchen Product Development Team, you will help build all layers of our DataOps product. This role involves designing and implementing core python, angular, javascript in a modern cloud-based stack. You will work closely with company founders and our customers.

Stack = (Angular, CoffeeScript, Python, AWS, big data, docker, Mesos, mongodb, git, vault)

Qualifications:

  • 1-5+ years software development experience with a record of delivering successful products.

Entrepreneurial VP of Sales

We're currently seeking an experienced sales executive to lead our sales organization. This individual will work directly with the CEO and founders to shape the direction of our sales strategy and execution for new customer acquisition. We are not looking for 'General Patton' type sales leader to help us rapidly build a sales organization. Rather, we are looking for an entrepreneurial, creative sales leader to acquire new customers and create the framework for a scalable sales organization. DataKitchen grew 100% in 2017 to $3M in annual recurring revenue. With your leadership, we are looking to continue that trajectory in 2018. Our company is bootstrapped, profitable, and ready to lead the next big thing in data analytics: DataOps.

Description:

  • Drive the top-line revenue growth for DataKitchen by acquiring new customers
  • Develop Executive relationship with key targets (Chief Analytics Officers, VPs of Data Science, CIOs, etc), influencers, strategic partners
  • Penetrate and develop major strategic accounts and new prospects in our customer segments
  • Perform sales presentations to those prospects, then negotiate contracts, and close new business deals
  • Manage Sales Development Representatives and function

Requirements:

  • Must be based out of our Cambridge, MA office
  • 10+ years of experience in Software Sales and Sales Management
  • Proven Director or VP of Sales in a fast-growing, start-up company
  • Experience in defining the sales process, channels, and working with marketing
  • Experience in hiring top talent and retention
  • Genuine interest in solving customer problems, creating original solutions for them
  • Experience managing the sales cycle from business champion to the CEO/CFO level
  • Track record of over-achieving quota (top 10-20% of company) consistently
  • Experience in Commercial Pharma and financial services verticals preferred
  • Previous Sales Methodology training preferred
  • BI, big data, or analytics experience preferred
  • Tech / Engineering background, in addition to the human and customer-facing skills, would be an advantage.
  • Experience in maintaining a high degree of transparency in pipeline management, pricing negotiations, and in closing deals greater than $100K in Annual Subscription in a complex sales cycles
